Product description
Compiled from the existing technical description of this product on this site
The tailless thread insert adopts a bidirectional symmetric hook-slot design that eliminates the installation tang of conventional wire thread inserts. No tang breaking is required during installation, so there is no directionality, installation efficiency is high, and the risk of the tang falling into the equipment interior is completely eliminated. The high-precision stainless steel material can significantly enhance the thread strength of low-strength materials.

FAQ
Material, standards, surface treatment and installation points for this model; the data comes from the specification table on this page and from the national standards cited in the answers.
Q1What material does the tangless insert use? What strength level does it reach?
Specified in the specification table on this page: material stainless steel (SUS304). A material certificate and mechanical property test report can be provided with the goods; batch acceptance is carried out in accordance with the above specifications.
Q2To which standard is the tangless insert manufactured and inspected?
Standards specified in the specification table on this page: per customer drawing / corporate standard (tailless wire thread insert); threads GB/T 196, GB/T 197. A dimensional inspection report can be provided with the goods; batch acceptance is carried out in accordance with the above standards and the drawings agreed by both parties.
Q3Which surface treatments are available for the tangless insert? How do I choose?
Surface treatment specified in the specification table on this page: self-colour / passivated / lubricated (optional). Different coatings differ in appearance, corrosion resistance and cost; select according to the service environment and the order agreement.
Q4In which applications is the tangless insert used?
Typical applications listed in the product description on this page: aerospace and defense structures; automotive engines and transmissions; precision threaded positions in electronic equipment; hydraulic and pneumatic components. Overview: The tailless thread insert adopts a bidirectional symmetric hook-slot design that eliminates the installation tang of conventional wire thread inserts. No tang breaking is required during installation, so there is no directionality, installation efficiency is high, and the risk of the tang falling into the equipment interior is completely eliminated.
Q5Is the tangless insert a tangless or a tanged wire thread insert?
The tailless type requires no tang breaking after installation and is suitable for through holes and automated installation; the tailed type (with installation tang) requires breaking off the tang after being screwed in. After installation, both form a standard internal thread in the base material with threads per GB/T 196 and GB/T 197. (Applies to this model: “tailless thread insert”.)
