Product description
Compiled from the existing technical description of this product on this site
The slotted locking nut assembly is cold-formed from medium carbon or alloy steel and precisely slotted. During installation a cotter pin is passed through the nut slots and the bolt hole, creating a positive mechanical lock. Unlike friction-based locking, it does not depend on preload: even with the bolt fully unloaded the nut cannot rotate, which suits extreme vibration and high-low temperature cycling.

Spec lookup
Use your own operating conditions to look up the 21 models in this series directly - front-end filtering only, no redirects, no address change
Filter results are based on the specification fields published on each model page and are for preliminary screening only; the final selection must be confirmed in light of the actual load, plate thickness and assembly process.
Drawings & customization
No public catalogue is available for this series; drawing-based requests are handled per project.
Made to drawing / sample replication
A 2D drawing or a physical sample is enough for evaluation; once confirmed, we issue drawings, build samples and obtain first-article approval before volume production. Drawings and project information are handled under confidentiality requirements.
Manufacturing process
The usual process route for this product family; actual operations follow the drawing and order requirements.

FAQ
Material, standards, surface treatment and installation points for this model; the data comes from the specification table on this page and from the national standards cited in the answers.
Q1What material is the captive slotted anti-loosening nut available in, and what strength level does it reach?
Specification table on this page: material is medium carbon steel / alloy steel. Material certificates and mechanical property reports can be supplied with the shipment; batch acceptance follows the above.
Q2What manufacturing process is used for the Combination Slotted Locking Nut?
The specification table on this page states the process as cold heading. The process route follows drawing and order requirements; first-article approval is provided before volume production.
Q3What are the main features of the Combination Slotted Locking Nut?
Features listed in this product description: the cotter pin provides positive mechanical locking that does not depend on preload; locking is maintained through high and low temperature cycles, at the highest reliability class; medium carbon steel / alloy steel cold formed for stable strength; well-symmetrical slot corners allow smooth cotter pin assembly.
Q4To which standard is the captive slotted anti-loosening nut produced and accepted?
Standards specified in the specification table on this page: slotted hex nuts GB/T 6178; cotter pins GB/T 91. Dimensional inspection reports can be supplied with delivery; batch acceptance follows the above standards and the drawings agreed by both parties.
Q5Why does the captive slotted anti-loosening nut still need an anti-loosening feature?
Most loosening originates from transverse vibration: relative micro-movement of the clamped parts weakens friction in the thread pair and the bolt gradually rotates loose. Locking elements are therefore usually evaluated with transverse vibration test methods (such as DIN 65151), measuring the loss of residual clamp load to quantify locking performance. (Applies to this model: “slotted locking nut assembly”.)
