Product description
Compiled from the existing technical description of this product on this site
TORX PLUS insert screws are developed for CNC tool clamping and tool holder locking. The body is made of 12.9 high-strength alloy steel (42CrMo), formed by high-efficiency deep-hole machining and precision thread rolling, combining hardness with toughness. The drive is a TORX PLUS® hexalobular form with flat flank contact faces and a large load-bearing area, which effectively prevents cam-out at higher tightening torques and suits machining centers and automatic tool change systems with frequent tool changes.

FAQ
Material, standards, surface treatment and installation points for this model; the data comes from the specification table on this page and from the national standards cited in the answers.
Q1What material is the TORX PLUS insert screw made of, and what strength level does it reach?
The specification table on this page states: material alloy steel (42CrMo); property class 12.9; tensile strength ≥1200 MPa; yield strength ≥1080 MPa; hardness HRC 39-44. Material certificates and mechanical property test reports can be supplied with the goods; batch acceptance follows the values stated above.
Q2What are the main features of the TORX PLUS insert screw?
Features listed in the product description on this page: 12.9 high-strength alloy steel (42CrMo) with a tensile strength of ≥1200 MPa; high-efficiency deep-hole machining plus precision thread rolling, thread accuracy ISO 965-1 6g; TORX PLUS® drive for high torque transfer and resistance to cam-out; quenched and tempered to HRC 39-44 for a balance of toughness and fatigue resistance.
Q3To which standards is the TORX PLUS insert screw produced and inspected?
Standards stated in the specification table on this page: thread GB/T 196, GB/T 197 (ISO 965-1) 6g; TORX PLUS® drive per company standard / customer drawing; external dimensions per customer drawing. Dimensional inspection reports can be supplied with the goods; batch acceptance is carried out according to the standards above and the drawings agreed by both parties.
Q4Which surface treatments are available for the TORX PLUS insert screw, and how do you choose?
The specification table on this page lists the surface treatment: black oxide / zinc plating / zinc-nickel alloy (optional). The coatings differ in appearance, corrosion resistance and cost; choose according to the service environment and the order agreement.
Q5What performance does class 12.9 represent on the TORX PLUS insert screw?
Under GB/T 3098.1 (ISO 898-1), property class 12.9 denotes a nominal tensile strength of 1200 MPa with a yield-to-tensile ratio of 0.9 (yield strength not below 1080 MPa). This series is made of 42CrMo alloy steel; the specification table on this page states a tensile strength of ≥1200 MPa and a hardness of HRC 39–44. (Applies to this model: “TORX PLUS insert screw”.)
